Its rained nearly all day here. Really heavy, stormy rain, the kind that makes you want to snuggle up inside. Good kind of weather for getting things done.
Which is what I am slowly doing, working through a long list of to do's. Some mundane tasks, but some are real treats that I've not had time for in a long while, well not for the most part of this past final year of my degree.
Now I have time to really read again, to cook nice meals, and to work on my own woven samples, without having to worry about marks etc. Its really refreshing.

Preparations...

New Designers is just around the corner, and at the moment time just seems to be disappearing into thin air! I have been super busy, putting press packs together, mounting samples, photographing all my work - the list seems endless. Things are guradually coming together as they (thankfully) always seem to do.
Douglas

Since leaving the studio 3 weeks ago I've really missed being able to weave, so I am really happy to say I am now the proud owner of a Douglas Andrew Loom, kindly dontated to me by some lovely kind ladies from Oxford. I met them at my degree show, and when I told them of my search for a loom they stepped in like my fairy godmothers and offerent to give me one! I can't wait to start weaving again...
